Congratulations to Holmes wrestlers Noah Stanley and Blake DeMoss for qualifying for the wrestling state tournament.
"I'm so proud of these guys for reaching one of their goals, and I'm excited to help them prepare for the next one on their list - attempting to place at state," said head wrestling coach Andy Price.
Noah, a senior, qualified in the 120 weight class, and Blake, a sophomore, qualified in the 126 weight class.
"I know the rest of our team feels some disappointment right now," said Price. "Four of our guys were just one match away from qualifying as well. But I'll say this, I feel no disappointment whatsoever in their performance, just a lot of pride and gratitude. This is, by far, the hardest working and most dedicated team I've coached since my time at Holmes. These guys dealt with COVID, injuries, managing academics remotely and all the other rigors of wrestling that we all know and love. I can't wait to see what Noah and Blake do next week, and I'm even more excited for this off-season."
Good Luck Noah and Blake! Go Bulldogs!
