What a great week we had in third grade! Students have been working cooperatively in the classroom, during morning meetings, at recess and working towards earning house points (ask them what house they’re in and how they earn points)!
What's happening in the third grade classrooms:
In writing, students have been working on how to form complete sentences which will help them on future writing pieces.
In math, students have been reviewing rounding to the nearest tens and hundreds place. They are currently working on addition with regrouping and word problems.
In language arts, students are continuing to determine character traits and identifying the perspective of the narrator, characters and their own perspective.
In social studies, students are defining different types of government throughout the world using maps and specific examples.
Students also began Choose Love this week! Ask them about the ingredients to choose love and how to be a bucket filler. Check out Choose Love Cheer or take a look at some pictures from the week.
