If you’re a parent/guardian of a college-bound child, the “College: How To Get There From Here” process can seem a bit overwhelming. Everything from GPA and ACT to FAFSA and college housing (and EVERYTHING in-between) can be stressful for both the student and the parent. At College Knowledge 101, we would like to ease your concerns and help answer common questions that parents have when helping their children prepare for and pay for college, career school, or the military. All high school students and families are invited to attend College Knowledge 101 on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. This open house style event will be held in the Holmes High School Cafeteria from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Several school, state, and college representatives will be available to answer questions, provide one-on-one assistance in completing the FAFSA, and provide tips in making decisions related to life after high school. (For information about documents needed to complete the FAFSA, please visit https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out.) At this event, College Success Starter Kit applications will also be available to Holmes High School seniors.
In addition to an abundance of information, there will be FREE RAFFLES AND GIVEAWAYS! Remember to stop by with any questions on Tuesday, November 29, anytime from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Holmes High School Cafeteria.
